Wayne in NJ
Hi, CONSIDERING the purchase of an '84, 6 cylinder convertible, which the owner admits, needs trans work. He says it's driveable/etc., and I would check that out before 'pulling the trigger', of course, but, generally speaking, reliability/repairability (by mechanics..NOT me), etc. Anyone have any info, hints, comments, warnings? -Wayne in NJ
JeffJ
In 1984, I believe both the C5 and the AOD were available behind the 6 cyl. Both have readily available parts, so rebuilds should be pretty basic for any shop or replacement.
